Best Practice

The principle of the Worker Rights module is to ensure ethical treatment of workers. It highlights areas of misunderstanding and can be used as a self-training tool enabling workers to review their own answers as well as provide foundations for internal training content.

The results from the module so far have been a great eye opener. Here are some astonishing findings:

58% of job applicants were convinced agencies could charge them for finding work or simply registering their name on a database.

59% of test takers believed that an agency could withhold their wages if they did not provide a signed timesheet.

Only half of those who completed the Worker Rights module knew where to seek help if deductions were made to their wages and as a result their pay was below the national minimum.

The Worker Rights module can be customised to encompass the intricate details of contracts and agreements that your business has in place.

With the new Agency Workers Regulations going live in October there will be a myriad of questions your work colleagues will need clarification on. The Eucanlearn module can provide a good basis for your induction and training programmes.
